You may register for any Spring program in this brochure in person or
by mail at any time. We will accept registrations for Spring programs over
the phone with VISA, MC, or AMEX beginning March 17. |

| Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Our office is located in the
Brookfield Municipal Center at 100 Pocono Road. |
REGISTRATIONS
1) Will be accepted in person or by mail, on a first come, first served
basis. Full payment must accompany registration.
2) If you would like a receipt from a mail-in registration, enclose a
self-addressed, stamped envelope.
3) A $15.00 charge will be assessed on any returned checks.
4) Non-Brookfield residents will be accommodated beginning 2 weeks
prior to the start of a program with payment of a $5.00 surcharge.
5) If you register early, you may ensure the class you want will not
be closed or canceled. |
REFUND POLICY
1) No refunds will be given once a program has begun, unless a substitute
can be found by this department, or unless there is a medical emergency.
2) Registrations may be canceled up to one week prior to a program's starting
date.
3) Absolutely no refunds will be given for any used portion of a program.
4) All refunds are subject to a 10% administrative surcharge. |
PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICY
1) Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel any program due
to lack of participation.
2) Two weeks prior to the starting date for each program, participation
will be evaluated. If enrollment is not sufficient at this time, all participants
will be notified that the program will be canceled if enrollment does not
improve.
3) One week prior to the start date for each program, a definite decision
will be made to cancel or run the program. |
CLASS INFORMATION
The Brookfield Parks & Recreation Department follows the school schedule
for most of our classes. If there is no school on a specified class date,
then there will be no class for Parks & Recreation. Please check with
the office if you are unsure whether or not a class will meet. In the event
of weather cancellations or early release from school evening classes will
also be canceled. Please contact the Parks & Recreation Department at
775-7310 during regular office hours for more information or listen to our
cancellation information mailbox on our voicemail system. |
MANDATED PROGRAMS
Mandated programs are sponsored by the State and the Towns of Brookfield,
Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding, and Ridgefield. These include
classes in Basic Reading, Basic Math and Basic Writing, English As A Second
Language, Citizenship, GED, and HSD. Contact the Danbury Community Resource
Center at 797-4731 for information. |
