T.G.I. Friday's wins award:
Best Kids Menu in America

CLEVELAND, OH (BUSINESS WIRE) - T.G.I. Friday's offers parents and their children the best overall dining experience and most innovative kids menu, according to the editors of Restaurant Hospitality magazine.

The popular, national chain restaurant will be recognized for having The Best Kids Menu in America by Restaurant Hospitality in its June issue.

The award recognizes commercial foodservice operators who: (1) show innovation in how and what children are served; and (2) demonstrate creativity in marketing to families.

"We found Friday's kids menu program to be very well-conceived and thorough," says Michael DeLuca, editor/associate publisher of Restaurant Hospitality. A father of young children himself, DeLuca adds: "In the wake of the Beanie Babies hysteria, it's refreshing to see foodservice operations thriving because they view children as important customers."

DeLuca says the restaurant chain's finely tuned service methodology of feeding kids before their parents to help keep them busy--something that makes everyone happy, including fellow patrons--sets Friday's apart from other entrants.

More than 50 retail foodservice operations answered this year's call for entries. Any U.S.-based restaurant or hotel company was eligible. A team of magazine editors served as judges.
