The Networker dates back to 1995, when I was a PTO dad at a local school. My intent was to build a site where parents and teachers could network for the sake of the kids. Parents thought it was a great idea, but the school folks were very much against it. The idea went nowhere.

Today, there are so many great opportunities and reasons for groups to network on the Internet. You can make The Networker work today by offering bulletin boards and chat rooms to specific groups: religious groups, fraternal groups, veterans, hobbyists, collectors and so on. You can even password protect each group.

My Aching Back took shape when I visited a chiropractor one day, in great pain. After being heated, cooled, manipulated and shocked, I suggested that the good doc have me build a website for him. He was enthusiastic, so I registered what I though was a very appropriate domain. Then he tells me his enthusiasm for a website has cooled and backs out.
